		Spectral Expert
		-----------------

DeskArtes Spectral Expert - Easy STL and VRML editing for 3D color printing
and animation. VRML file output has become increasingly popular with different
CAD packages due to its simplicity and capability of showing textures and 
colors on 3D models. For example, VRML data can be used with the 3D color 
printer form Z Corporation or with different animation software packages 
and 3D color scanners. Splitting 3D models to fit into the build area is 
an important everyday function for the 3D printer users. DeskArtes Spectral 
Expert combines easy to use STL/VRML texturing tools with efficient repair 
and splitting tools for 3D color printing!

Spectral Expert functions include:

    * STL/VRML input and output
    * Easy STL/VRML texture and color editing
    * Automatic STL/VRML verify and repair
    * Manual STL/VRML repair and edit
    * STL/VRML splitting and connecting
    * Platform definition and positioning

		System requirements
		---------------------

General:

- PC with Intel Pentium/PII/PIII/PIV or AMD Athlon/AthlonXP processor

Operating System:

- Windows 95/98/NT4/2000/XP

Memory: 

- minimum 256 MB
- recommended 512 MB

Graphics:

- minimum resolution 800x600 with 16-bit colors
- recommended at least 24-bit colors and a graphics card which supports OpenGL
- graphics cards based on ATI Radeon or NVidia GeForce chipsets recommended

Other:

- Internet Explorer 4 (or higher) needed to view help files

		Installation instructions
		-------------------------

1. Copy the self extracting package "daspece71.exe" to your hard disk.

2. Start the installation by double clicking "daspece71.exe". Press "Finish" to
   continue the installation or "Cancel" to quit.

3. Read the copyright text and the license agreement carefully before continuing.

4. Select the Directory where you want the software to be installed, use "Typical" 
   setup type and accept the default Program Group. 

5. The setup is completed. Select "Launch DeskArtes Spectral Expert" to launch 
   the program, and "Finish" to quit.
