		View Expert
		-----------

DeskArtes View Expert is designed for anyone needing to view 3D CAD data. It
enables you to display, smooth render, rotate, zoom, pan and print STL model
data. To use the STL viewing capabilities only, just install the View Expert 
and start running it!

Optional IGES and VDA-FS translators are available for the View Expert.

DeskArtes View Expert add-ons include features for validating and dimensioning
CAD models. The software identifies costly errors in the file and locates them
so that the CAD user can correct the problems in the CAD software.

For secure data transfer View Expert provides an add-on for encryption of
model files.

		System requirements
		---------------------

General:

- PC with Intel Pentium/PII/PIII/PIV or AMD Athlon/AthlonXP processor

Operating System:

- Windows 95/98/NT4/2000/XP

Memory: 

- minimum 256 MB
- recommended 512 MB

Graphics:

- minimum resolution 800x600 with 16-bit colors
- recommended at least 24-bit colors and a graphics card which supports OpenGL
- graphics cards based on ATI Radeon or NVidia GeForce chipsets recommended

Other:

- Internet Explorer 4 (or higher) needed to view help files

		Installation instructions
		-------------------------

1. Copy the self extracting package "dave71.exe" to your hard disk.

2. Start the installation by double clicking "dave71.exe". Press "Finish" to
   continue the installation or "Cancel" to quit.

3. Read the copyright text and the license agreement carefully before continuing.

4. Select the Directory where you want the software to be installed, use "Typical" 
   setup type and accept the default Program Group. 

5. The setup is completed. Select "Launch DeskArtes View Expert" to launch the 
   program, and "Finish" to quit.
